Editor's Note: Future Icons of the Charter Market
The turn of a new month has brought forward a reel of exciting new updates, marking the usual upturn of industry activity that comes with the Summer season.
Of course, living and working in London, the notion of Summer is primarily metaphorical; however, we’ve been given an enviable insight into how the global elite can spend a few weeks on the water.
Charter experts Y.CO recently announced the new appointment of the 86m Aquijo to their charter fleet, a yacht which will undoubtedly attract a lot of attention across both the market and the globe.
Aquijo is a milestone superyacht project, and not only is this the first sailing yacht launched from revered superyacht builder Oceanco, but a stunning combination of styling and sailing expertise thanks to the heritage of Vitters.
Last week, I found myself somewhat obsessed with the Cloudbreak story because of the story behind her construction. This 72.50m adventure superyacht came to the charter market with SuperYachtsMonaco, and is opening up exciting new locations to adventurous charter guests.
I’ve been looking closer into Cloudbreak’s charter schedule and will be bringing you an insight into British Columbia - one of our team’s all time top ten regions - next week.
Sticking with the present, I also took a look into another new yacht on the charter market with IYC. Trending may not be exploring the far reaches of the world, but it’s the ideal yacht to watch the Mediterranean from the water.
New projects have also come to the fore this week with Rossinavi unveiling new projects, Mangusta entering build on a new 42 and Turquoise lifting the lid on the upcoming launch of their 47 metre. Follow the hyperlinks for more information, and enjoy the start of exciting summer season. Until next time.
