Nothing is a better barometer of how the superyacht industry is faring than sales. With this as our litmus test, all the signs are that the American yacht market appears to have experienced a significant upturn in recent months.
The latest positive news comes from US-based brokerage Merle Wood & Associates who have had a hugely successful past few weeks, with the sale of three yachts in May alone. We report on all three sales and what it means for the wider market in today’s newsletter.
Elsewhere this week, there’s a report on Italian shipyard Logica Yachts, a newcomer to the superyacht world, who have arrived on the scene with an impressive launch that is set to hit the waters in the coming days.
We also bring you the latest from Moonen Yachts who have unveiled their brand new ‘Caribbean’ range of vessels, a feature on the 2014 Pendennis Cup that takes place in Falmouth next week, and Worth Avenue’s signing of the hybrid yacht ‘Silver Wind’.
Finally, there’s more launch news from Vicem Yachts, sale news from Fraser Yachts, and a BYS price reduction. Until next time, have a wonderful week.
