Editor's Note: Just Another Reason to Escape

After heading out on the Mediterranean ocean aboard the WIDER 150 last week, I returned with a sense of adventure still in the forefront of my mind. Wanderlust very much a directing factor in my week, we spoke to the people offering one of the more exciting charter experiences available in June.

The upcoming UEFA Euro 2016 Tournament will be an exciting phase of the year as 24 teams battle it out across France.

Coinciding with the globally-watched event, West Nautical are now offering guests a bespoke to charter experience to follow the match, or a team of your choice, while sampling the very best of the Cote d’Azur.

Speaking to Captain Jean-Marc Bitouzet, we were given a preview of one week’s itinerary over the month long event.

“We can look at what games there will be around the coast, and the easiest airport to fly to the next game if they have to leave the boat for the evening," explained Captain Bitouzet "We will take care of the transport, from the boat to the stadium, including the access and VIP lounge and make sure they get to their flight for the next match and hotel before coming back to the boat.”

What struck me was the amazing feat and labours of love constantly displayed by crew and management, to tailor build a trip based on the match fixtures of an event which take place in stadiums across the country for each person. You can read the full story and take a look at the sample itinerary here.

Having time back in the office, I also had a chance to relay - to the best of my abilities - the finer details on board the WIDER 150 itself. There are far too many to note, however this superyacht is now under the global spotlight and you can read the full story here to find out why. Until next time.
