Editor's Note: Deliveries, Launches and Global Activity

A flash of red emerged from the Mondomarine shipyard last week, and with it came a spate of insights and reports from across the world as a variety of new yachts and deliveries came to light.

My whole lead-in to the week started by spending the weekend with the team at Astondoa, witnessing the unveiling of the new 655 Coupe. This is a project which is redefining 100 years of Spanish yacht building, and it’s a story I’m looking forward to sharing.

The week kept up pace on the new launch front, as we were given a fantastic insight into the design, construction and delivery of the 156m superyacht Dilbar.

While she may not be the longest yacht in the world, she’s most certainly the largest thanks to an unparalleled gross tonnage, beam and unmatched interior spaces. Read the full story, with video, comments and insights from builders and designers alike, here.

The UK yachting community also benefitted from a big announcement this week as a 55 metre superyacht emerged from a refit shipyard in Portchester, Portsmouth.

Speculation around her owner is rife, however what we’re interested in is when we’ll be seeing Lady A on the waters of the Med this year... well, seeing as the Thames is hardly the heart of Summer Solstice right now.

In the spirit of variety, the 77m Legend departed from the Netherlands this week and is already heading toward the inevitable adventures awaiting her across the world.

Oceanco came to the fore this week with the introduction of a new 90 metre superyacht concept, drawing from the perspective of Dennis Ingemansson. Sunny Memories is the visually striking new design, combined with the sweeping aesthetics, creates an instantly recognisable future classic.

You can find out about the whole of the new launch list here; however, if you have anything we’re missing, or think there’s something we should be looking at, get in touch with press@superyachts.com.
