Editor's Note: Discovering New Ground

Touring Kotor on a tender for the first time was the insight I needed to see that both the development and surrounding region of Porto Montenegro was a destination bound for success.

The rolling mountains surrounding the Bay of Boka, the calm and crystal Adriatic waters and high-end developments of the Port itself were, not only a cruising ground being underutilised by the yachting community, but the perfect platform for a show looking to increase charter.

MYBA recently included Barcelona (OneOcean Port Vell) and Montenegro (Porto Montenegro) to their portfolio. With the latter now over, it’s easy to see how the MYBA association is building up activity and awareness surrounding the latest and most exciting cruising grounds.

In other news, Feadship launched a 92 metre superyacht in grand and celebratory fashion this week with a rare insight into the project with stunning photography and detail. Aquarius, is as stunning as any custom-built Feadship and I look forward to following her career on the water.

The Cannes Yachting Festival opened this week, unveiling projects such as the Commander from CCN and Floating Life, as well as the Numarine announcement of two launches of the 105HT range.
