Editor's Note: New Projects Dominate the Start of 2017

January has been a bold start to 2017, continuing this week by presenting a world of new projects, construction updates, global developments and superyacht sales.

The close of last week saw an incredible start to the year in the form of a brand-new launch from Abeking & Rasmussen. Aviva, the absolutely beautiful 98-metre superyacht which is now preparing for delivery, entered the Top 100 in style.

Here Comes The Sun, another Top 100 entrant which emerged in 2016, was delivered this week and only recently arrived in Guernsey following her maiden voyage. With another six superyachts set to launch into the Top 100 over 2017, this is a start to an exciting year.

In other news surrounding the new projects underway, entering construction and announced in 2017, Vripack announced the new contract for Revolution, a cutting-edge modern superyacht set to cruise the waters in the next few years.

Turquoise Yachts also introduced us to the brand-new explorer project underway in Turkey. This classically styled expedition yacht is a far-each back to a more sophisticated design trend, with the modern superyacht amenities and engineering ideal for cruising the world.

CCN shared an update with their first K40 explorer, managed by Floating Life, while Amer Yachts also unveiled a first-look at the 110 yacht project.
