Editor's Note: New Launches Taking the World by Storm

Project Thunder, the biggest reveal of the last seven days, emerged from the shipyard on Sunday and became the largest launch of 2017 so far. This futuristic behemoth sparked a week of exciting news, as well as setting the bar even higher for what has been, and what undoubtedly will be, an increasingly busy 2017.

As if to typify my point, Lürssen Yachts didn’t just stop at Thunder this week. The yacht builders today revealed three sections of a 150m+ superyacht - according to our source at TheYachtPhoto - with no name, and no project designation.

Other launches of the week included Friday’s unveiling of the 77-metre Turquoise Yachts project NB63, featuring a genuinely exciting glimpse into her ultra-cool exterior. In 2016 I worked pretty extensively to as deep into the NB63 project as possible, and can’t wait to see how construction progresses this year.

Over the weekend, Rossinavi also introduced the stunning Aurora (not to be mistaken with another recent Lürssen launch) project to the water; featuring true-to-form cutting-edge style by the Italian craftsmen. Working with Fulvio de Simoni, Rossinavi are rapidly evolving with each new-build and taking exciting form.

In other news, the Singapore Yacht Show today opened its doors to visitors from across the world. The premiere Asian superyacht showcase will act as a platform for activity in the region over the next few days.

While we keep an eye on the Singapore Yacht Show, you can catch up with our interior exclusives from across the Palm Beach Boat Show by clicking here to read our Interior Insights. Until next week, keep up to date with our Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts.
