The Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show opens today, welcoming streams of visitors to the Collins Avenue waterside and stoking the fires of what could very well be a renewed year of strength for the American market.
This is a speculative theory given the fact that the show has only just opened, but we will be delivering interviews and updates from the show thanks to our film team poised and ready to hit the docks. In the meantime, you can get a better idea of what’s on display thanks to our notable yachts article.
These are just a few of the yachts on display from firms across the world however, as the brokerage industry is in full force at the show and lining Collins Avenue with some of the finest superyachts to hit Miami.
Benetti is introducing two new yachts at the show and fronting an impressive fleet of 19 vessels with the 33m Tradition Supreme 108’. The Italian yacht-building giants are building on their presence in the US as reports state that in October 2014 102 Azimut yachts were purchased in the US and South American territories (exc. Brazil) while 89 have already been registered this month.
This is a re-emerging market and numerous brands are furthering their presence in the region with force. Mexico and South America are proving strong with Benetti adding to these reports saying that four vessels have already been sold, including the newer Azimut 112.
