A number of yachts have entered into the Top 100 Largest Yachts Rankings in the last few weeks while even more are preparing to launch. Not only have large yachts been emerging, but exciting motor yachts across all size ranges are hitting the water.
Entering into a new phase entirely, Oceanco’s 85.9 metre sailing yacht left the shipyard recently and gave the world a look at the Dutch yacht builders first ever sailing yacht. Made in conjunction with Vitters, this yacht is awaiting final phases of completion while the second sailing yacht (Project Solar) is still underway and awaiting launch.
Lurssen, in classic fashion, have introduced yachts to the water and given the world a sneak peak of some of the largest projects to come over the next year, and beyond. Orchid, the most recent project, covers 91 metres and is the most recent in a line of impressive launches.
Adding to the global superyacht fleet was Heesen, who launched a record setting Azamanta which is the first ever Fast Displacement steel-hulled yacht over 50 metres. The Dutch yard also sold the 50 metre project Akoya, a sistership to the award-winning Satori and Monaco Wolf.
A new project under the name of Intensity also made its way to the front pages this week after Y.CO announced the impressive design case - put together by Andrew Winch and Abeking & Rasmussen - was available for potential owners looking for something a little different.
Mangusta added to the launch lists this week with the announcement of the Mangusta 110 launch, taking place at the private facilities of the Overmarine Group, while more are preparing to arrive across the year.
