This week, Superyachts.com attended a press briefing which marked the coming arrival of the Portsmouth leg of the America’s Cup, leading to the ultimate goal of Bermuda in 2017.
The America’s Cup is returning to Britain this summer as racers prepare to challenge one another over four incredible days in front of 500,000 spectators.

The other piece of news which caught my attention this week was the entrance of Yersin to Port Hercules, which was met with a ceremony to match the grandeur of her mission. With an objective of oceanographic research, preservation and education under the banner of adventure, this is an exciting yacht which has been dubbed a ‘motor vessel’ due to her creation method sans branded builder or designer.
