Editors Comments: Week Ending 31/07/2015

It’s around this time of year that we begin to get exciting previews of new projects and collaborations set to be unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.

One of the first signs of this came from Vitruvius in a new announcement which teased a new project with Turquoise Yachts. The Turkish shipyard is re-entering the superyacht market with renewed confidence and are set to build an 80 metre superyacht which will undoubtedly represent a new era for the yard.

This, however, is not the only announcement we can expect to learn more about come September. We’ve also had it on good authority that Vitruvius will discuss a potential new collaboration with Oceanco, the revered Dutch yacht builders with a penchant for building incredible yachts for visionary owners.

While the details surrounding the announcement are still uncertain, we’re greatly looking forward to what Philippe Briand is branching out to do in the coming months and we’ll be bringing you updates of every new project set to emerge when we can.

Monaco itself came into focus this week as we took a look at why the Principality is still on top in terms of luxury.
