The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is always a laid back affair. With families and tourists alike mixing among the great and the good from the superyacht industry, it is tempting to forget that the annual show hosts $4 billion worth of products both in the water and dockside.

This year’s instalment is now upon us and the Superyachts.com team have made our yearly pilgrimage to what is always one of the highlights on the yachting calendar. We’ll be reporting on all the exciting news coming out of the show, as well as featuring a number of interviews with key industry figures. We kick off our coverage of FLIBS 2015 with a preview in today’s newsletter.

Among the array of vessels on display in Fort Lauderdale is the Darwin 102 Explorer, making its official debut at the show. We take a closer look at the explorer yacht in our newsletter, while there’s also a preview of the impressive fleet being showcased by US broker Galati Yacht Sales.

Elsewhere this week, we bring you newly released images of the 50-metre motoryacht Gazzella, the first 50-metre vessel of Codecasa’s highly-regarded Vintage Series. There's also news from yacht brokerage Y.CO who have announced the sale of the 67-metre motoryacht Aquarius, and Dutch builders Hakvoort who have announced the launch of the 61-metre motoryacht Just J.

Finally, in interview news, we bring you exclusive chats with Riccardo Bonadeo, Commodore of Sardinia’s Club Costa Smeralda, as well as the owner of Exuma, one of the world’s finest explorer yachts.

Be sure to check in with us over the coming days as we bring you dockside news live from Fort Lauderdale. It promises to be another world class show.
