Editor's Note: Global Cities in the Spotlight

London is one of the major world capitals, and it’s new programmes like the London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show which keep developing that sense of global community, especially within the luxury and yachting sector.

We took a look into the show on day one and got a better idea of the initial positivity surrounding the show. With the show now half way through it’s run-time, it’s still early days for the LYJAPCS, however it’s an exciting event to watch unfold.

Speaking of global capitals, New York is preparing for the fifth installment in the prestigious America’s Cup this weekend as residents can watch an historic battle unfold on the waters of the New York Harbour for the first time in over 96 years.

While the battle wages on the water, I’m honoured to be joining prestigious superyacht builder Perini Navi in Italy to take a closer look at the 70 metre ketch which was recently launched at their shipyard. Sybaris is a testament to the history of Perini Navi and something I’m excited to witness first hand.

Then to France as I’m also lucky enough to join Wider Yachts as they unveil the Wider 150 to the press in Monaco, a true next generation yacht and another project I’m excited to step on.
