Editor's Note: Monaco Momentum In Full Flow
No sooner did the curtain fall on the Monaco Yacht Show earlier this month than it has risen once again on an eye-catching new yacht launch, as a key industry player strives to build on the momentum of on one of the showpiece events of the year.
The focus of today’s newsletter, the debut of the 47-metre Razan, is being billed as marking an exciting new era for her creator, the Turkish builder Turquoise Yachts. The first launch in a new line of vessel for Turquoise, the yacht was styled by H2 Yacht Design and is now set for its first sea trials for delivery in the coming months.
But while much of the industry forges onwards and upwards, here at Superyachts.com we are still in the midst of bringing you a host of exciting and informative interviews conducted live at the Monaco Yacht event, which came to a close on October 2nd.
In today’s newsletter you’ll find several of them, including CEO and Founder of Omega Architects Frank Laupman, who was typically illuminating when talking to us about the future of yacht design and his company’s role within it.
There’s also entertaining and instructive conversations with the likes of Luxury Projects CEO and Founder Laura Pomponi, Renzo Chelazzi of Tankoa Yachts, Palumbo Group Yard Manager Giulio Maresca, and others.
We conducted a record number of interviews at Monaco this year but viewing any of them for yourself will demonstrate that quantity was matched by quality – and we owe a debt of thanks to everyone who participated for providing such in-depth detail and analysis on the state of the yacht industry today. We look forward to seeing them all again on the docks of Port Hercules next year.
But for now, we must return to the nuts and bolts of the day-to-day activities of the world of superyachts. Until next time, have a great week.
