The 2015 Perini Navi Cup returned this week, allowing us to witness some incredible sights as the team took the water with a variety of cameras to capture the melee. At the time of writing, Rosehearty has been confirmed as the winner of day two, but shadowed by a line of eager participants looking to gain ranks during tomorrow’s race.
When I first visited the Perini Navi Cup, I set off on a tiny RIB to take as many photos as humanly possible - learning that the sight of a Perini Navi in the water during a sunny day in Porto Cervo was a very easy thing to photograph.
Two years on and I have had the honour of being invited back with a team of professional SYCOM videographers (wisely leaving the photography side of the role to the experts) by my side shooting some of the most incredible footage I’ve ever had the pleasure to publish.
However, while we process everything on the endless hard drives that seem to be piling up, we’ve been looking into other movements in the industry which we have been eagerly following for some time.
The WIDER 150 was introduced to us from the start as a beautiful new model, and something we are following to the launch. A yacht like this takes a serious amount of discovery, and you can do so by reading our latest interview here.
The MYBA Pop-Up Show is also open, an inaugural show in Porto Montenegro which has already unveiled its impressive line up of superyachts.
We have interviews, more race footage and photos surrounding the Perini Navi Cup on its way to the front pages so stay tuned to Superyachts.com and we’ll deliver the updates the moment they emerge.
