Editor's Notes: Week Ending 29/01/2016

We’ve been left with so much content, I have a creative conundrum on my hands. With all the interviews now online, and hours on the cutting room floor, I’ve got the exciting prospect of sitting down with our videographer and coming up with exciting new ways to provide you with exclusive updates.

However, everything in good time. What I can say for now, is that the announcements coming through this week are beginning to illustrate the closing phases of January’s lull and signifies the inevitable spark of activity which is February.

Not only are shows such as the Miami International Boat Show and the Dubai Boat Show on the horizon, but we’re starting to see industry movements, launches and sneak previews into yachts launched at the closing phases of 2015.

Vitters and Claasen announced the acquisition of the Claasen Shipyard, bringing about an exciting new future for the historic Dutch yacht builders. This new combination creates significant an opportunity for each brand to showcase their individual strengths to operate in tandem while continuing the creation of unique yachts.

Benetti announced the delivery of the 11.11 superyacht, a 63 metre motor yacht which is the latest addition to the Benetti superyacht fleet.
